Bruce Willard Cowan

Bruce passed away in Portland, Oregon, where he was born and raised.  In 1945 he was on the Washington High School state championship basketball team.  He graduated from Oregon State University where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi. 


Bruce owned and operated City Brass Foundry in Tualatin and was a member of the Rotary Club in Tualatin.  He was an avid duplicate bridge player and reader. 


He is survived by his wife, Sally; daughters, Gail Hobson and Robyn Salisbury; sons, Gerald and Donald Cowan; stepchildren, Steven and Mary Anne Gervais; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Lois Cowan; and his brother Don Cowan. 


A memorial service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on Friday March 2, 2012 at 2:30 p.m.
