Herman Raymond Gericke

Herman “Ray” was born in Hayward, California to Herman and Frieda Gericke. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany and The Philippines; he also served in the National Guard. After his service Ray was a Portland Police Officer for 26 years, retiring in 1977. He belonged to the Columbia River Region Vintage Chevrolet Club of America, The Portland Swap Meet, and two train clubs.
Ray is survived by his wife Beverly; son, Jeffrey; and granddaughter, Marissa.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Portland Humane Society.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
