Deborah Ann Soappman
date of birth February 11 1968
date of death August 3 2017
Deborah Ann Soappman, 49, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at her home in Tigard, Oregon. She leaves behind her beloved husband of almost 23 years, Raymond; her daughter, Carolyn; her son, Alexander; a dear friend, Amanda Middaugh and many close friends and colleagues
She is also survived by her parents, William and Carol Sullivan; two brothers, Joe and David; her sister, Cynthia and many other family members.
Debbie and Ray met as young teenagers at high school in the south suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.
By the time they graduated from Bloom Trail High School in 1986, they were inseparable.
After being married in 1994, they worked on a new life together and literally threw a dart at a map to see where they would live. The state of Oregon was chosen and they packed their bags and left everything behind in a matter of months in late 1997.
Since then, Debbie was busy building a new business, raising children, volunteering at school functions, helping with the band program and still somehow finding time to make the family a traditional meal!
In the latter years, her passion for automobiles grew and she had much joy displaying them and entertaining the guests at various assisted living facilities.
In June of 2013, she was diagnosed with colon cancer, but that did not deter her. She fought it with every ounce of energy she had.
Even less than 24 Hrs. before her passing, she was busy doing invoicing for her business and other paperwork next to her bed. An Amazing woman in every sense of the word.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 6:00pm, at the Southwest Church of Christ Located at 9725 SW Durham Road Tigard, Oregon 97224
